We did it! Yeah!
What a great experience. On Sunday, September 30, at 9:30 am, Michael and I participated in CIBC Run for the Cure in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. I say “participated” because there was no running. The plan had been to walk 1 K, but there isn’t a separate route for the walkers. The walkers and runners go the same route, with the fast ones up front. I chose the 1K in consultation with M, thinking it would be too far for him to do 5K. But we actually did about half of the race, and M was a bit disappointed, so if we do it next year, we’ll do the entire 5K.
Most of our team (Bloggers for Boobies) did the entire 5K, except for Nicole and I, who had our kids with us.

Gillian Behnke, the senior Marketing Communications Manager for CBCF BC/Yukon. What an amazing job her team did!
I’m happy to announce that all together, I raised $590 for Breast Cancer Research! Yeah! Thank you so much to all of my donors!
Congratulations to Ann Sachs, who won the draw. I’m sending her a box of home-made goodness in the mail. The rest of you locals who donated… well, there might be some cookies for you the next time I see you.
